How do I reset my password?
To reset your password:
- Click on "Forgot Password" on the login page
- Enter your registered email address
- Check your email for reset instructions
- Follow the link in the email to create a new password
How many attempts do I have for a quiz?
The number of attempts allowed for each quiz is set by your lecturer. You can see the number of attempts remaining on the quiz page before starting. Most quizzes allow 1-3 attempts, but this varies.
Can I save my answers and continue later?
Yes! SmartGradeAI automatically saves your answers as you progress through the quiz. If you need to leave, your answers will be saved and you can continue from where you left off, as long as the quiz deadline hasn't passed.
How does AI grading work?
AI grading uses advanced natural language processing to evaluate your answers based on:
- Content accuracy and relevance
- Understanding of key concepts
- Clarity of explanation
- Use of appropriate terminology
The AI provides detailed feedback to help you improve. However, lecturers can always review and adjust AI grades.
What file formats can I upload for assignments?
SmartGradeAI supports the following file formats:
- Documents: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF
- Spreadsheets: XLS, XLSX (for specific assignments)
Maximum file size is 10MB per file.

Student Quick Start
- Log in with your student credentials
- View enrolled courses on your dashboard
- Click on "Quizzes" to see available assessments
- Select a quiz and click "Start Quiz"
- Answer all questions and submit
- View your results in "My Submissions"
Lecturer Quick Start
- Log in with your lecturer credentials
- Navigate to "Quizzes" section
- Click "Create New Quiz"
- Choose manual creation or AI generation
- Add questions and set parameters
- Publish quiz for students
- Grade submissions in "Grading" section
